The Velveteen Rabbit

Every child with a favorite stuffed animal will be enchanted by this beloved classic. A toy rabbit is loved so deeply and for so long that one day, after its velveteen coat has grown thin and threadbare from so much hugging, it magically becomes real.

For this beautiful gift edition of The Velveteen Rabbit, award-winning Swiss artist Monique Felix has created paintings that are every bit as enchanting as Margery Williams Bianco’s best loved tale. (Ages 4-6)

Precious
December 27, 2012

I discovered this book in early adulthood, also my early Motherhood. The story and the things said in this book are Precious. I try to make sure each set of my Grandchildren get this book, starting when the firstborn arrives. I hope they, in their lives, have an opportunity to look back at some of the lessons found here.

Best Story

My mom read this story to me as a child and as an adult I am still in love with the story. The classic stories never die.

I read this book for the first time and really enjoyed it myself. I bought it for my grandchildren and I like to read them before they do. I highly recommend this book.

a classic fave

I LOVE this story!! Even though it is almost 100 years old, it rings true today! I have a polar bear-Honeybear(actually, he's the only carribean polar bear because he LOVES the carribean!) and I love him so much, he's almost really real!(okay, I've had him for 24 years, and I'm over 40, so....)and I am somewhat still sane. Beautiful story about loving and caring deeply. Maybe this is how children first learn about love, thru their first "stuffed" animals!!
