I agree with reviewer sv. The plot is flimsy, the characters weak and not well defined. But I think the part that bugged me the most is the WAY it was written - almost like it had two authors. Whenever we read Dr. Steadman talking in first person, there are exclamation marks everywhere! Sure, some statements need to be emphasized with ! marks, but in the first chapter alone there were enough !!!! to suffice for the rest of the book. NOT everything is that important. Overuse of italic font also. I think the editors should have been keyed into such rubbish.

worth a read

Some of the story seemed silly at times. But the overall plot was great and kept me reading continuously to get to the story's end. I liked Henry and the relationship he developed with Carrie. Yes, some things were not kosher but if you got past that - enjoy the book for what it is. It's an escape plus an adventure that keeps you interested.

Is this book a joke! An April fools joke maybe? I really hate to cut down an author of any sort but this book is absolutely ridiculous. For instance the main character is always welling up with tears, his daughter is about to go through a mill saw and he is saying it's okay peanut, honey. He is on the run and has 60 bucks left, eats a hot dog and gets coffee goes into a men's haberdashery buys a sports jacket and dress shirt and in the end still has 40 bucks left, wow I am so moving down south! Only gave if 1 star and that was for so hard I was laughing reading this book, if some one wants one you can have mine before it goes to the dump where it belongs. I can not possibly be the only one out there who finds this book totally ridiculous. Last one of Andrews that I buy!

This was an "I don't want to put it down" book. I enjoyed every minute of the fast-paced twists & turns the story took.
