The Clifton Chronicles continue in Jeffrey Archer’s The Sins of the Father.
Days before Britain declares war on Germany, Harry Clifton, hoping to escape the consequences of long-buried family secrets—and the fact that Emma Barrington will never be his bride—joins the Merchant Navy. But when his ship is sunk by the Germans and Harry is rescued by the Americans, the third officer, a man named Tom Bradshaw, dies during the night, giving Harry another way to shed his tortured past.
Unfortunately, assuming Bradshaw’s identity proves to be a dangerous mistake. For upon landing in New York, Harry quickly learns that without any way of proving his real name he’s become a man whose history could be far worse than the one he’s fled.

I thought this book was better written than Time Will Tell. The continuing saga of Harry Clifton et al is well written with surprises at each chapter. Excellent. Looking forward to the last in this trilogy. Haven't read Jeffrey Archer in a long time, but like this story very much
