I will start off by saying that I found this book hard to get into IN THE BEGINNING. But once the main characters meet I couldn't put the book down. After they meet in the supermarket I had to read through to the end. Taylor was flawed but he was also a wonderful person. Denise was a very patient person to her son and to Taylor. And Kyle was just the cutest. I wanted to just hug him forever. I started crying halfway through this book, not only because of what I was reading but because I realized that I related to Taylor very much (at first I thought I was like Denise since I'm a girl and I'm 30). When I finished the book I was crying for the same reasons. Sometimes we lie to ourselves and the world that we're ok when we're really not. Def. one of my favorite books.

I was introduced to Nicholas Sparks last year and have found his books to be really very good. However this new one. The Rescue, while good, is very predictable. I would recommened it, however I do not believe it is as good as his previous books. When you need a little lift and a renewed belief in love, read one of his books. I hope Mr. Sparks puts a little more mystery in his next love story.

I found it like other readers to be a bit predictable and the story already written. The sons illness was about the only differance from other books I've read. Still a romance is a romance and it was a good book when you just want to feel good.

I really love Nicolas Sparks and find his characters warm and easily likeable. I love romance with the twists of human flaws that his characters have and seeing how it all unfolds. Although I enjoyed The Rescue, it was predictable. Still a good read but definately not in the same league as The Notebook or The Lucky One.

Most of the time I can't put a Nicholas Sparks book down but I found this one predictable with very little surprise. I found the love story sweet but I was not as intrigued by the chracters the way I usually am. It was a good book and I wouldn't discourage any one from reading it but it wasn't a great book.
