Romance doesn’t get any better than a dazzling new series from the incomparable Nora Roberts. In Vision in White, the first book in The Bride Quartet series, she takes us for a walk down the aisle with four lifelong friends and professional wedding planners convinced that in their personal lives they’re destined to be bridesmaids, never brides. Are they right? We hear the sound of church bells ringing….
The Brown estate in Connecticut is where Mackensie, Parker, Laurel and Emmaline run Vows, the premier wedding planning company for couples ready to tie the knot. Despite their expertise, though, none of these fabulous women has been particularly lucky in love. Strong, independent-minded Mac, the resident photographer, doesn’t even want a relationship, having learned from a selfish mother—who married and divorced more times than she can count—that love doesn’t last. But when slightly rumpled, yet oh-so-cute Carter Maguire, a former college professor turned high school English teacher, gets involved with his sister’s upcoming nuptials, Mac can’t get him out of her mind. Unfortunately, his ex-girlfriend feels the same way—and she’s willing to play dirty to keep Mac from becoming a vision in white.

The book was just ok, it was a hard read compared to Ms roberts other works. I thought it would be as great as some of her other series, but I found it hard to keep my mind on the story. I guess I will have to try and read the next one as it has already been delivered. I was disappointed. Too much detail on the business and not enough character detail. I feel like I could be a wedding planner.

I just bought the third book in the series. Really enjoyed this series. Have been a long time reader but took a break for a bit because so many of her novels follow the same plot line. I liked this series because it felt that this was a little out of the ordinary for Nora, and I really enjoyed the characters and the story.

I love this book set so far. These are really great romantic books. Normally, I go for the supernatural books but these definitely keep my interest. I can't wait for the 3rd book to come out. These would make an awesome movie series.

Nora Roberts brings her people to life. You can picture them and feel their emotions. She is so discriptive you feel you can go to the place she's writing about find the Brown Estate and Mac and Carter will be in the pool house. I love Nora's series, have already read Bed of Roses and am anxiously waiting the next. Her MEN are fantantic!!

I like it. Although I do have to say that her paranormal trilogies (like the Circle Trilogy) is better. Having said that, this is still a good read.
