Since 1922, when Howard Carter discovered Tut’s 3,000-year-old tomb, most Egyptologists have presumed that the young king died of disease, or perhaps a terrible accident, such as a chariot fall. But what if his fate was actually much more sinister? Now, in The Murder of King Tut, James Patterson and Martin Dugard chronicle their extraordinary, epic quest to find out what exactly did happen to the boy king. They judiciously combed through reams of evidence—X-rays, Carter's files, forensic clues—and scavenged for overlooked data to piece together the details of the ruler’s life and mysterious death. The result is a true-crime tale of intrigue and betrayal that presents a compelling case that King Tut's death was anything but natural.

Usually like James Patterson. This was dreadful. Not very well written and since I'm a King Tut fan and have read a lot about him and his life didn't learn a thing that I hadn't read else where years ago. Waste of time and money.

I am going to be honest, I didn't love this book. I was so excited when dh purchased it for me and couldn't wait to get into it but was left disappointed. Maybe it is because I had just finished Dan Brown's The Last Symbol and I really loved it. I guess any book would have a hard time standing next to it.
