In Kindred in Death, Nora Roberts signs in as J.D. Robb to take us back to the future, where the new NYPSD captain is reeling from his daughter’s murder. But the pressure Lt. Eve Dallas feels to find the killer doesn’t come as much from her boss as from memories of her own rape years ago, and she jumps on the one clue they have: Deena knew her assailant. When Deena’s best friend reveals she had a secret boyfriend, Eve is off and running, calling in support from her millionaire husband Roarke. Only when another body turns up, and then another, does Eve realize that the perp is toying with her, using different identities to tease and taunt. But Eve knows that overconfidence leads to mistakes, and all she needs is one to take him down.

I always enjoy J D Robb's Eve Dallas character. This one like all the others was mega good from start to finish. I enjoy the way Robb reminds the reader of Eve's past to help them understand her passion and determination toward her job and finding justice for others victims.

It was no less than I have come to expect from J D Robb as I have read every book Mora Roberts has written in this series.e books she writes, very much.

How does she do it? Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb never writes a bad book. I am never disappointed in any book she writes. Yes, some are better than others, but for the most part they are all good. I really like a book that grabs you right off the bat, and one you want to read until the last page, without stopping and that's what her books do for me. I enjoyed this new book very much and am anxiously waiting on the next one. And thank goodness it doesn't take her three years to write one. To me that is caring about your fans, so they keep coming back for more. Evelyn

while i love the Eve Dallas character and most story lines, i am getting tired of every plot recalling her horrific childhood.
