Reinventing the Body, Resurrecting the Soul

At a time when millions of people are awakening to new possibilities opened up by alternative medicine, each of us faces a choice. The highest choice is to reinvent your body and resurrect your soul.

Deepak Chopra believes that aging and many diseases are the result of entropy—the steady loss of energy inside the body. But you can reverse this process. His message in Reinventing the Body, Resurrecting the Soul is that your highest vision of yourself can become a physical reality.

Deepak reveals three keys to creating the self you desire: 1. The Soul Shift: You must stop seeing yourself in materialistic terms. 2. Subtle Action: Before the soul creates the physical body, it creates a subtle body entirely out of information and intelligence. 3. Core Participation: When you reconnect to your source, a revolution takes place and the spirit is resurrected in physical life.

You’ll discover how great spiritual secrets are tied up in this simple answer: “You can't change the body without changing the self, and you can’t change the self without bringing in the soul. It’s all one process, and it begins with knowing that your body exists to mirror who you are and who you want to be.”

I also thought that this was going to be the same kind of "Depak" book, but it was in more of a lamens terms and it wasn't so deep that you have a hard time understanding it. I liked the many different things he said about listening to your body and remembering that it works all by itself but it's also a partnership, just as with all things. When I read any book I take a pencil and paraenthasis around certain parts that capture my attention, so when I come upon a real life situation I can reflect back and change my programmed behavior. Growing and becoming of higher consiousness takes attention, and that takes work and alot of presents. Depending on what your looking for, I thought this was a good book by Depak.

The book was just okay

Deepak Chopra has probably written more books than anyone else. I enjoyed the book and thought that it carries a lot of truth; I also find that he repeats his theories in all of his books and that there is not much very different in any of them. I am sure that it helps to read the same things more than once, but I did not find much new here. There are some helpful meditation suggestions. And his focus is on the Spirit and how our bodies are a reflection on how we are aligned with our Souls.
