At 26, talented architect Annie Ferguson had a terrific career and a handsome boyfriend she believed was “the one.” Then a horrific accident made orphans of her older sister’s three children. There was never a question that Annie would bring them to live with her in Manhattan…or that she would raise them alone. And while 13 years later Annie has no regrets, lately, despite the demands of a highly successful business, she’s feeling the loneliness of an empty nest. Is it too late, she wonders, for love?
This moving novel explores how, in a challenging and unpredictable world, there’s one bond that always remains steadfast and true. Will Tom Jefferson, a television newscaster with whom Annie feels a powerful connection, be willing to stand by her side to pick up the pieces when Ted, now a law student, gets involved with an older woman who becomes dangerously obsessive…when fashion stylist Liz learns her French lover’s real character…or when free spirit Katie, the youngest, falls in love with a boy whose faith proves problematic?
Just when you think Danielle Steel couldn’t get any better, she writes another tour de force. Family Ties is the beloved author at her remarkable best.
