Private Games

Private Games is another winner for “America’s #1 storyteller” (Forbes). This time out, James Patterson takes readers on an action-packed thrill ride to London where Private, the world’s most renowned investigation firm, has been commissioned to provide security for the 2012 Olympic Games. The company boasts the smartest, fastest and most technologically advanced agents in the business, but single father of twins Peter Knight, one of their best, is handed an almost impossible situation. With the opening ceremony just hours away, a high-ranking member of the Games’ organizing committee is dead and his murder was nothing less than a deliberate, precisely calculated execution.

A break in the gruesome crime comes when newspaper reporter Karen Pope receives a letter from a person who calls himself Cronus, claiming responsibility. And his aim is clear: to restore the Olympics to their ancient glory by destroying all those who have wrought dishonor through greed and corruption.

As in any race, time is of the essence. Which means Peter and Karen must stop a mad, criminal genius from crossing the finish line before they do, or this Olympic Games will go down in history for record losses—of life.

VERY DISAPPOINTING
March 13, 2013

I HAVE LOVED THE PREVIOUS PRIVATE BOOKS, BUT THIS ONE WENT WAY OFF THE RAILS...PATTERSON NEEDS TO GET BACK TO JACK BEING INVOLVED AND RUNNING HIS COMPANY. PRIVATE GAMES WAS HIS WORST SO FAR, SUCH NONSENSE, BEHEDDINGS, POISION NEEDLES, REALLY...ANOTHER ONE LIKE THIS WILL BE MY LAST!

Book was fair. I prefer Alex Cross novels.

Thought it was a good book just like all of James Patterson's books that I have read. Don't know why people don't like it.

Where's Maxine Paetro?
August 22, 2012

The most boring of the Private books. I am still snoozing my way through it. Usually read JP's books rapidly. Too much extraneous/fictitious Olympics fill ins.

Awful

I read the first 20 pages and tossed it in the garbage. I really enjoyed the other Private books, but this one is just sick.
